Rules
Rank is the verified bid. Here is everything that follows from that.
1. What WakeUpAI is
WakeUpAI is a public visibility marketplace and leaderboard for AI and technology professionals. Listings are advertising positions, not endorsements, employment offers or credential verification.
2. How rankings work
Positions are ordered by lifetime verified bid, highest first. The ordering is computed server-side on every read. There is no hidden weighting.
3. Minimum bid
The minimum bid to enter the board is $5 USD.
4. Maximum bid
The maximum single bid is $999,999 USD.
5. Bid increments
Bids are whole US dollars. The minimum increment is $1.
6. Taking #1
To take position #1 your lifetime verified total must exceed the current #1 by at least $5.
7. Equal bids
If two listings hold the same verified total, the one whose payment was verified earliest ranks higher. Ordering is never random.
8. Payment verification
A bid only counts after our payment provider sends a signed webhook confirming the payment. Returning to the success page in your browser never finalises a bid.
9. Refunds
Bids buy visibility that starts immediately, so bids are generally non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the refunded amount is removed from the listing total and from public revenue, and the ranking recalculates.
10. Outbid behaviour
Anyone can outbid anyone. When you drop a position you keep your listing and your total; you simply rank below the higher bid until you increase yours.
11. Daily ranking
The Today board sums verified bids inside the current UTC day. The window is UTC by default and is configured server-side, never by your local timezone.
12. All-time ranking
The All-time board uses lifetime verified bid totals across the life of the listing.
13. Categories
Each listing belongs to one category and appears both in the global board and in that category's board. You can change category when you place a new bid.
14. Allowed profile URLs
Public professional destinations only: LinkedIn, X, GitHub, a personal site or a portfolio. Only http and https are accepted; javascript:, data:, file: and similar schemes are rejected, along with local and non-public addresses.
15. Prohibited content
No impersonation, illegal content, hate, harassment, adult content, malware, scams, misleading credentials or links to content unrelated to a professional identity.
16. Reporting
Every listing has a report action. Reports are queued for administrator review and can result in suspension without refund.
17. Privacy
We store only what you submit plus privacy-conscious anonymous click counts. Analytics are cookieless. We do not scrape private or authenticated data from third-party networks.
18. Fraud prevention
Payments are verified by signature, webhook events are de-duplicated by event id, click counts are rate-limited per anonymous session, and ranking state can only be changed by server-side code.
19. Payment disputes
Disputes and chargebacks are recorded against the payment. Listings involved in an unresolved dispute may be suspended until the dispute closes.
20. Moderation
Administrators may suspend, restore, recategorise or remove listings that break these rules. We publish the rules so moderation stays predictable.
